The God Who Stepped In: Creation
The God who stepped into creation to create…..us. Before time, God stepped into creation, it was nothing. It was empty and void. Except for Him. I love how my kids talk about God not being born. They get it. They don’t understand, but they 100% accept this fact by faith. The beginning is where we must start when we see God’s work. And in the very beginning, God was stepping into life. Creation is the evidence we have today. Through the power of His Word, we have seas and skies and sloths. Look at anything in creation and you will see how God stepped in. He tore back the veil of eternity, walked past the threshold into time. Our enteral God causes our existence because He wanted to. And the first thing we learn about God’s stepping in is this: IT IS GOOD.
After everything, the water, the sky, the birds, the sun, the stars, the plants, animals and trees – God said: it is Good. It is Good God steps into our life. It is Good because God is good. I love that one of the first attributes we see of God in Creation is that He is good. I think God knew we would need reminded in our sin-filled world: HE IS GOOD. I think we forget we were made in His image. God’s creation was spoken, but we were formed. God used His hands to form the dust to make us. Certainly we are the crown of the good God’s creation.
God is a good God who steps in. He is not absent. He is not missing. He is not hidden. Last week welcomed spring. When winter has lingered too long, spring is that much sweeter. Goodness comes when we open our hearts to God’s Goodness.
Why do you struggling with seeing God’s goodness?
Where can you see His goodness today?
