Daily Joy Printable and Tuesday Talk
Welcome to TUESDAY TALK!
I’m so glad to have you join me this Tuesday for our weekly Tuesday Talk Link-Up!
We can dream about tomorrow. We can live our lives just waiting for this day to be over. Counting the days until we know life will resume to a normal pace. We can get off of this dusty road of uncertainty and live again.
Can I come along side you and offer a little hope? Can I whisper in your ear: Don’t wait until tomorrow to find joy. Live in today.
Daily living isn’t something I’m an expert at. I am your friend with you on this journey. I have been the waiting woman. I have felt the fear. The pain. The heartache. The ups and downs of a life in limbo. If I’ve learned one lesson on this road of waiting, its this: just wait one day at a time.
Each week in March I would love to offer you some Daily Grace to encourage you to dig deeper into God’s word as we learn to live in the daily. I’ve also offered it as a PDF so you can print off, cut out the different sections, add some color or stickers, and use them in your Bible.
Daily Joy
Open Your Bible
Psalm 63:1-5
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.
Open Your Heart
Dear Lord, I pray you will restore my joy today. I understand part of abiding is living in today. And today I need joy. Your joy. The joy that is found when I live close to You. Let me rest in You, the God of joy. I understand I might feel happy, but I can have the deep seated peace and joy, which only comes from You. You are the Source of my joy, because you only call me to be joyful today. Let me live in daily joy, resting in You, O God. Amen.
Write Your Thoughts
- Make a list of three things you can rejoice over. Include something about God’s character in your list.
- What does “full of” joy mean to you?
- How can you show the joy of the Lord to others?
- What in your heart needs to change in order to find more joy today?
