Here are a few of my favorite things!….keep checking back as I will add to the list!*
The Promise is His Presence by Glenna Marshall – I read this book in one day. Yes, one day. I felt like I was reading Glenna’s personal journal and learning from her as she walked the road of pain, infertility, and ministry disappointments. I know you will be blessed – beyond measure – with this book about God’s presence. Also, it is a great book to see how God tells His story throughout all of the Bible. Interweaving her own story of faith and doubt amid suffering, Glenna traces the theme of God’s presence from Genesis to Revelation and shows what it means for us in our own daily joys and struggles.
Breathe Again by Niki Hardy – I met Niki almost three years ago. We are part of the same group (hope*writers) and met at a conference. I was drawn right away to Niki’s amazing personality. Her genuine interest and love for people oozed out of her. Not only that, she was so hilarious! When life falls apart what we so desperately need is a friend who’s been there, a way to discover that life doesn’t have to be pain-free to be full, and then a road map to go live it. With plenty of her English humor and loads of practical advice Niki helps you do just that. Breathe Again is part BFF, part spiritual cheerleader/coach, and 100% down-to-earth.
