A Prayer of Hope for Your New Year

January 2, 2017 / Faith

a-prayer-of-hope-for-your-new-year

Make room in your heart for Him in the coming year.  Sorrow is sure to come, but so is comfort. It is found in friendship, His Word, and a deep relationship with the Father. May you find through the hard there is good. There is always good because God is ready to make all things new. Let this new year begin a new chapter in your life.

My prayer for you, sweet friend, is this:

Dear Jesus,

O Almighty King, as we continue to remember your birth, may we look to the future with hope of the promise. You came 2,000 years ago wrapped up to be our sacrificial lamb. You came to die, suffer, and be filled with sorrow. But with the Cross you brought HOPE. Through the pain we see blessing. Through hurt we see Your plan. With this new year, we know hardships are coming. Deep grief may be just around the corner, but we hold on to HOPE. We hold on while the sky is dark to the promise of Light. For You are our Light and You are coming again. While we wait, we know you have not left us alone. The Spirit is here. Not only to guide, teach, and correct – but He comes to comfort. To give us HOPE when our hearts our weary. To give us PEACE when we feel the anxiety. To give us STRENGTH to keep fighting. To give us REST as we lay our burdens down at your feet. Amen.

May God Bless you in this New Year my friend.

Meet Sarah
Welcome! I invite you to walk alongside me as we study deep the words of God, even in our busy seasons. I’ve learned in every season we can find joy and contentment when we spend time in the Bible. Every day I’m learning to go into my quiet space and spend a little time with God in prayer. God is ready to pour into us. Let’s do this together!
