Dig Deeper with Prayer and #TuesTalk
Welcome to TUESDAY TALK!
Today is our last “Dig Deeper” series. I’ve spent the past few weeks creating a special PDF for you to use how you wish! Hopefully these little cards will remind you to read with purpose, perspective, process, and prayer.
As we close this series, I want to share with you the most valuable tool in your toolbox for studying God’s word. It is a tool you already own and it is so powerful.
// PRAYER //
James 1:5 – If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
No matter if you use any other method of studying the Bible I’ve shared this month, you can use this one! Let’s focus on developing a habit of prayer BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER we study scripture.
Today, let’s dig deeper into reading the Bible with Prayer!
Use whatever passage you are reading in your Bible right now to answer the following questions. {And if you don’t have a current reading place, let’s start with the book of I John!}
Before you begin, ask the Lord to open your eyes and provide understanding. You can use a certain method of praying you like: P.R.A.I.S.E. or P(raise) A(dmit) R(equest) T(hank)
We’ve read through this chapter several times this month, but let’s read chapter once more. As you read through these words, ask the Lord to make it clear what the passage is saying…..
After reading, give thanks to God for His wisdom. And His Word.
Print this {{FREE}} printable, cut out the cards, color them, and stick them in your Bible as reminders to read with PRAYER!
