How To Be Ready for The New Year
How To Be Ready for The New Year
Do you dread January?
January seems to get us all excited for resolutions, goals, dreams, planning, and new beginnings. I’m all for fresh starts, but sometimes I just don’t know where to start? Do you ever feel this way? I want to change (oh how I want to change), but how?
I know I need to eat better and move more, but how I can implement a plan I know will work? What about achieving your goals, instead of just making them? How I struggle with this! I write down my list for the year. I examine every aspect of my life. I lay awake at night with ALL OF MY THOUGHTS swirling in my head.
I print goals sheets. I fill out cards and hang them up. Only to find myself struggling around the end of February and beginning of March. By the summertime I can’t even remember my resolutions.
One of the beautiful things about goal is you don’t have to make a bunch of goals. You can have just ONE. You can change ONE thing in your life this year. I would always try to change ten things, but then nothing ever changed. So this year I’m focusing on ONE thing.
Maybe you want to change…..
your diet.
your spending.
your workout plan.
your sugar intake.
your prayer life.
your daily Bible reading.
your friendship choices.
your habit of staying up too late.
your bedtime routine.
your morning routine.
your reactions to others.
your laziness.
your obsession with Facebook.
your thought patterns.
Maybe you want to….
eat healthier.
train for a half marathon.
finish that project in your desk.
develop a prayer life.
start going to church again.
develop healthy relationships.
Any bad habit can be changed! Any spiritual habit can be developed! Decide today 2017Â will be different. If you are are wanting a fresh start, but don’t know where to start, I have something amazing I’ve discovered.
One year it was prayer. I had always wanted to increase my prayer life, and that year I did it. I found my prayer life take OFF! How did I do it? Grace Goals*. I use this course every year because I want make internal changes – based a biblical advice!
I’ve read Arabah Joy’s blog for so long now. She is a fellow adoptive mom who loves God’s word! She is passionate about serving and equipping women to discover God through Scripture. For me Grace Goals is less of a course, and more of a FRESH START. It is a way for me to begin the new year spiritually ready.Â
I don’t know what this year will bring, but I want to be ready. I’ll be taking five weeks to go through the course (there are five modules). Each module can be done in one sitting. Super low key – but completely LIFE CHANGING.
Do you want to begin the new year with a fresh start? I really REALLY want to encourage you to check out Grace Goals. I know it is a commitment of time and finances, but let me ask you this: is change really worth it? Godly, grace-filled advice rooted in God’s Word is rare. It costs you the same as three cups of coffee from Starbucks.Â
