A Lesson in Loneliness

A Lesson in Loneliness

Today we are going to discuss loneliness. It is something we’ve been thinking and reading about this month so far. I don’t know about you, but our world is becoming increasingly more and more lonely. One of the things loneliness tries to tell me is that God has forgotten me. In fact, it is always the enemy’s tactic to tell us that God won’t remember us because, well, everyone has forgotten us.

It isn’t true. And Naomi’s story tells us that. As we travel with Naomi from Bethlehem, to Moab, to the fields, and then the threshing floor, I pray that these truths will encourage your heart when you feel the ache of loneliness. God changes our loneliness, when we turn to him. How was Naomi’s life changed? Let’s look at three ways.

Seek out seclusion. Not to be alone, but to be alone with God. Change the narrative to your story. Find direction, satisfaction, and peace when you pursue God in your season of the unknown.
