January 17, 2022 / Faith

 Let’s Read the Bible: Philippians

Do you want to learn how to study Philippians? Watch this video and download the brand-new Bible Reading and Study Guide for Philippians!

Get the Bible Reading and Study Guide for Philippians here.

This guide is designed to save you time and allow you to do more than just read the Bible – but understand and apply it to your life! I’ve spent hours researching, reading commentaries, and yes, looking over the entire book of Philippians to be able to help you understand this amazing book of the Bible. Paul’s letter to the Philippians is incredibly practical for everyday living. We will discover the beginnings of the church at Philippi, what the city was like, and how much good truth is packed in these short four chapters.

It includes:

  • A Quick Overview
  • Background information on the city of Philippi
  • Answers to these questions:
  1. What is the tone of this letter?
  2. Who lived in the Philippi??
  3. What are some of the themes of Paul’s letter?

Bible Reading & Study Guide: Philippians

Have you ever read the book of Philippians and ran across this verse: “I can do all things through him (Christ) who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)? Did you think, “Yes! I can do all things through Christ!” Only to find yourself falling flat on your face? So. Is this verse a promise? Is this verse a general statement? What did Paul mean by this verse? Let me give you a hint: the context of this verse is contentment. Knowing this, changes this verse, doesn’t it?

If you have been around for a while, you know I love encouraging you to read your Bible but what comes next? You might have a great Bible study habit, but you want to go deeper. Or, maybe you’ve read the Bible and get frustrated because you don’t understand the Bible.

If you have ever asked these questions or said these things, this new guide might be the perfect option for you.

  • I am so confused when I read my Bible.
  • What do I do when I can’t understand my Bible?
  • The Bible is too hard to grasp.
  • I’m not a scholar or pastor, so how can I really understand the Bible?
