10 Psalms for Anxiety

It was over ten years ago that I first realized I was not okay. One day my alarm didn’t go off, and my children were awake before the coffee had started brewing. I was already frustrated, and I didn’t even know why. With a lot of responsibility, deadlines, and tasks ahead of me, I did not want to even get out of bed, let alone go make breakfast for my children. It was then I needed these 10 psalms for anxiety
I didn’t know that I was allowed to be sad for no reason. Sadness didn’t linger because I was somehow not doing the “right” things. In fact, during that time I was doing all the right Christian things. At night I felt anxious and overwhelmed. So many things plagued my mind. I couldn’t sleep.
Sometimes, life is filled with heartache, and the fog is dense inside our heads, for no reason. This truth got me out of bed that morning and helped me do work: there is more than we can see. That is what this book is about. What more can we see, even through the fog, the cloud, and with waves crashing over us?
If we read the Book of Psalms we find that God meets us where we are, not where we want to be. He is with us in our anxiety and fears. If you feel afraid of the future, worried about things in your present, or the past stresses of life fill you with anxiety – take a moment to read through these verses.
