The Word & Tuesday Talk
And the Word become flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. – John 1:14
Words are hurled through the radio waves. Flung around the dinner table. Across the screens. On our laptops. On our phones. We type. We text. We speak thoughts and opinions. Words will build and destroy. Words will sing or condemn. Words have such power. Still. No matter if they are written in ink or typed on keyboards. Or spoken. Words can hurt. Words can also heal.
Words can fill the empty spaces. Bandage wounds. Mend bonds. Cover sins. Love. We want more than anything for our words to be RIGHT. Truth. We do not want to speak falsehoods. We are tired of lies. The world flings words of uncertainty. We want our longing souls to hear words of TRUTH.
We need THE WORD. The one that was at the beginning. The One that spoke into being all of the beings who would speak. The One who lived with the Father, when everything was right. In the beginning. Before. Before the hurt. Before the pain. Before all of the wrong. As soon as wrong entered our world, we waited for it to be made right.
During the season of advent, we remember the One who was promised. We see He was promised from the beginning.
In the story, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe*, the land of Narnia waited for the King to come release them from the curse of winter. The promised king was a lion, named Aslan. This was sung in hopes of their coming king:
“Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.”
Let’s not lose sight that our King has come. The Word was made flesh. The Word, who was in the beginning, was born. The Word who spoke into existence all that breathes, has come. He is here. Emmanuel. Still breathing life, through His Words. Don’t let the words of the enemy steal the truth of Christ’s words during this season of advent. Believe.
Wrong will be Right

Wonderful post, Sarah! JESUS said, that HIS WORDS are SPIRIT and LIFE. I pray that every heart will receive and embrace that powerful truth. Thank you so much for sharing such an incredible message! GOD bless you, beautiful friend! 🙂
Our King was born – He came as a Lamb the first time, the next time He comes it will be as The Lion of Judah! I love the Chronicles so much and glad you referenced them. We are neighbors at Kristin’s today, I am #12!
