A Playlist for Bible Study
I’m going to share something little bit different today. One of my steps is to find some good music and invest in earbuds. I spend some afternoons writing, reading, and praying. To help eliminate the distractions, I put in some good music and listen while I study. I make sure I’m in a central location, and I do it during nap time (which is quiet time for the older kids).
The kids still come and ask me stuff when I have my earbuds on, but most of the time they know it is mommy’s time for herself. It has helped setting up boundaries and just being consistent for them to understand this. So, today I’m going to share my favorite music I use during this time. Some of it is praise and worship, some of it is instrumental. I love movie soundtracks, so I have several of those….don’t judge my choice in soundtracks. Some of these movies I haven’t even seen! I just love the music!

I have a mix of old and new. I like Michael W. Smith and also Hillsong. Music moves my spirit! I just stuck a video in my post today. I love all of the movies you have the music to , esp. Pride and Prejudice!
I’ll definitely be checking out this list because many of the tracks are completely new to me! Thanks for pulling this all together!
Lately I’ve been listening to a mix called Peaceful Piano on Spotify. It’s beautiful music that is perfect for reading the beautiful words in the Bible. Plus, I don’t get caught up in the words of a song, I’m focusing on the words that I’m reading.
I will have to test out your playlist though, thanks for putting it together.
Sounds great! I’ll have to check it out. 🙂
I just found Ellie Holcomb’s Red Sea Road a few days ago! what a coinkidink! I especially like “We’ve Got this Hope” 🙂
I really like the song My Father’s Favorite from Sense & Sensibility and The Last Dance from the newer 2009 BBC Emma television series.
Love the list! Brian and Jenn are worship leaders at my church. I totally forgot about the Pride and Prejudice album. It’s beautiful! Thanks for the reminder 🙂 and I can’t wait to check out some of those other options!
Have you ever listened Fernando Ortega? He travels with Ann Graham Lotz. His music is beautiful and worshipful.
